What is the internal length, i.e. the length of the shelf between the side supports? I assume the 196 refers to the external dimensions?

The Inturnal length is approximately 184cm, You are correct the 196cm is the external dimension.

They can't use a common upright if thats what you're asking, but you can place end to end and secure them together.

Is this shelving unit supplying to the assembled state or do I have to assemble it by myself?

You will need to assemble it yourself, however it's pretty straightforward and if you get stuck just give our customer service team a call and they'll be happy to help.

This is an excellent product BUT the last two times i have ordered shelves, they have arrived with the packaging ripped open and parts falling out. The smaller shelves metal bits should be separately and securely wrapped inside the larger package. Cheers

Tidiest garage ever

Purchased after helping set up my brothers shelves, for space and organising my garage. Great purchase, sturdy shelves, able to take some weight and with great spacing options as free to move up or down as required. Garage has never looked better!
