They don't come with pre-drilled plates for this but it would be simple enough to rig up a solution.

Would I be able to cut the uprights down in height
A:
Yes you can cut the uprights down to suit the height you want. It does have a powder coat finish, so the exposed cut end would be susceptible to rust. We would recommend putting a protective coat on the exposed cut ends.

It does have a durable powder coated finish, if the powder coat gets scratched it can start to rust.

Do these rust? That you say not to have them outside.
A:
They are powder-coated steel, so fine for their intended use in garages etc and this seals them from the threat of rust in these conditions, however for continuous exposure to the elements they would need to be galvanised for us to recommend you use them that way.

This is an excellent product BUT the last two times i have ordered shelves, they have arrived with the packaging ripped open and parts falling out. The smaller shelves metal bits should be separately and securely wrapped inside the larger package. Cheers
