The 2000W gun has slightly more power, offers three different blower speeds and can deliver 550L/min at 650°C. Both are easy to hold and suitable for a variety of tasks. What is a heat gun used for?

The heat gun design features the power of a motor-driven fan to generate high-temperature airflow. Professionals and DIYers use heat guns for tasks that require heat to be applied to surfaces or materials. Typical applications for professionals include thawing frozen pipes, drying fillers and paint, removing decals and vinyl, and shrinking wraps. For DIYers, they can be used to strip wallpaper, remove labels, and melt crayons and wax for all kinds of crafting projects.

When should you not use a heat gun?

The high temperature of a hot gun has the potential to cause burns or even fire, so avoid using it on or near combustible, flammable or pressurised materials such as cleaning fluid. Also, avoid directing the airflow towards yourself. Remember to unplug the gun when not in use and avoid leaving it unattended during usage or cooldown.
