Q:
I have just had a second window frame installed in our double bedroom and was wanting a sander to some sanding before painting again (on the exterior side) and what size sandpaper is recommended? Also, is there a battery operated model? Makita.
A:
This unit will use any 1/3" or 92 x 230mm size sandpaper sheets. For the windows before painting it's best to use from 100 grit up to 180 grit. We also have a Battery Makita sander but only the "Makita 18V Random Orbital Sander LXT 5" Skin"

We have a 4m x 1m wooden slab outside table with multiple layers of polyurethane on it. This needs revarnishing so we need to sand it back. Will this sander do the job?

No you will need a belt sander to get it all the way back to the wood.
