How far out does the IR sensor detect motion - 1. of a person, and 2. of a vehicle?
A:
The preset distance a person can activate the light is about 10-12 meters. A Sensitivity dial on the back lets you increase this slightly or turn it down to suit.

Yes, I recommend this product.
Spec's ok

This one is fine. Plenty bright enough with a good 4 min time out. From experience, this sort of product should last four to five years before corrosion kills it. So good value overall.

stopped working

look it was great for year it lasted but then it stopped working...it's too expensive for lasing little time

Lasted 2 weeks

I thought by buying the expensive one that it would last but 2 weeks was it. First it started to go non stop and now won't go at all. Cost me $40 to get it installed, probably $20 to get it taken off and $25 courier to send it back so its a very expensive exercise all round.

Bought two of these to show off specimen trees in the back section. Really good quality so worth the expense. The lux levels are awesome and the combination of PIR and timer means you just install and forget. Highly recommended.
