Shelta Pandanus / Navare / Lynden Cantilever Umbrella Base

Bought this at the same time as our Shelta Umbrella. Has to be filled with sand (and then topped up with water) so that it's heavy enough to hold the umbrella. Works great - good job it's in four pieces otherwise it would be way too heavy! Very happy.

It is big but comes in 4 pieces, so it is not difficult to disassemble and stow away in winter. Easy to fill with sand and water, then weighs heavily and will be a sufficient base for the Lynden square umbrella we have bought.

I'd say you're paying for convenience, because it's easy to fill and set up. It looks smart and no risk of stubbing or cutting your toes like you would with concrete paving slabs. Keep in mind the measurements... it's big. 1m x 1m. Certainly sturdy. I only filled the parts with water rather than sand and it's fine for holding the umbrella even on windy days.

Bought this for the Lynden Cantilever umbrella - definitely a good idea with all the wind we've had up here in Auckland. Easy to fill with water, being segmented you can easily move it around. Has kept our umbrella up nice and stable so far.

We love this base, easy to to fill up with water, use! And a good quality but a bit pricey ! But it holds even in stronger wind and we're flexible to move the Umbrella without screw it on the desk. But bought a second one already as we bought a second Umbrella as well. Thanks
