This is the second Gardena retractable hose I have bought from Trade Tested, I was extremely satisfied with the first purchase, as in price for quality, customer service and timely delivery, so much so that I have purchased hose No 2. They are very efficient, look tidy mounted on the wall, and they can be rotated either way.

After struggling with various different manually rolled up garden hoses for far too long, I finally took the plunge to invest in this wall mount retractable model. We have a large property with multiple gardens so I did a lot of research to make sure we got the right fit for our needs. Also, given the price, I wanted to make sure we would get good value for the investment. Not only does this hose, at 35m, have enough reach to get to everywhere we need it to, the retractable mechanism is as easy and smooth as their marketing materials say, even when fully unfurled. Best of all, it can stay out in all weathers so does not have to be packed away in winter. Totally life changing as had made watering the garden a pleasurable experience again. Without a doubt it was absolutely a great investment - would recommend to anyone.

I bought this model because another reviewer pointed out that the other models weren’t frost resistant and had to be taken indoors over winter. I checked the Gardena web site and that is correct. You need to read the Technical Specs to discover that. I didn’t think I’d need 35 metres but the extra length has come in really handy. I love it. It’s easy to withdraw, easy to lock and it retracts quickly. It is solid and secure, I’d like to see someone try and steal it. I recommend both Trade Tested and this Gardena hose reel.
